Where to stay in Germany ? That depends on what you like to see. If you prefer "old Europe" you´d better stay at the south of Germany, like Munich with Hofbräuhaus and Oktoberfest, the Alps, or Schloss Neuschwanstein. If you like to see the modern Europe - you better travel north - to Hamburg - with its big Harbour, Airbus Industries, lots of Musicals (mainly in German) the Reperbahn. Hamburg is close to the coast, the Islands and the old midle Age Hanse Towns like Lüneburg, Lübeck or Buxtehude. Berlin is still boaring.
